Weight Loss Motivation-Comes From Within
How do you stay motivated to lose weight? Motivation comes from the inside out. No one else can motivate you. Someone else can inspire you or even push you, but weight reduction motivation must come from inside; otherwise, you will fail.
Weight loss motivation is a two-pronged approach. First and foremost, you must establish an exercise plan that you can stick to and even expand upon if necessary. Stick to it, accomplish a little every day, and have the confidence and motivation to succeed.
Then, for at least a week, if not longer, you must plan out nearly every meal you will consume. It will be easier to stick to your diet if you do this. You will be that much ahead of the game if it is written out for you, and you can construct your weekly grocery list based on the meals you have planned.
Try it out for yourself and see how wonderfully it works. You could astound yourself. Being organized with your meal preparation will help boost your motivation. So lovely that you’ll wonder what’s been holding you back for so long. Do not kick yourself, no matter how much you want to. Everything moves at its own pace. Keep that in mind.
Take before and after images, or before and along the way pictures, to keep your motivation high. Please keep track of your progress and post it on the refrigerator or the bathroom mirror. Any location where you feel at ease is OK.
Maintain a positive attitude and speak to yourself daily. Remind yourself that you are well worth the effort. Remind yourself regularly that you will look better than you have in the past.
Visualize your accomplishment according to some weight loss gurus. It will be easiest to do if you were thin once. It may be difficult for you if you’ve always struggled with weight. That should not be a deterrent. Examine yourself in the mirror to see how you will appear. Block off a portion of your body with a solid object to get a better sense of what you can and will look like after you’re finished.
Make a diet and exercise partner. One of your buddies might like to join you on your daily walks or bike rides. Motivation comes from within, but having someone who cares enough to be there for you can be pretty beneficial.
Make a deal with yourself, laying out the ground rules and the consequences for breaking them. Don’t let yourself off the hook. Make the contract before a witness, sign it, and give them a copy to keep. If they’re willing, let them also be the ones to punish you if you make a mistake. They will essentially act as your trainer. What a great way to keep yourself motivated to lose weight!
