Physical Activity and Less?

Everyone says that this or that is the best way to work out. But how do you know for sure?

What is the best way to get in shape? The one you are going to do. Everyone is different, you see. How could there be one type of exercise that is best for everyone? And the good news is that every day can be different. You can walk one day, run the next, go swimming the next, play frisbee golf the next, go golfing the next, rollerblade the next, ride your bike the next, etc. You don’t always have to do the same thing. But if you want to, you can.

How often and for how long should activity be done? Again, everyone is different, so pay attention to what your inner voice tells you to do and follow it. Here are some tips to help you figure out what your inner knowing is telling you about physical activity:
One day you might need 30 minutes, and the next day you might only need 10. Some days, an hour or two may be just right. One day, a slow, easy pace might be best, while the next day, a hard, intense workout might be what’s needed. You might go to the gym 5 days a week one week and 2 days the next. There are no rules about how and when you should or shouldn’t exercise.

One good choice is to walk outside. When you walk, you can take deep, full breaths of fresh air and focus on the presence inside of you. When you go outside, you will also get sun. In the end, just do something that keeps you moving for a long time.

Mental activity is a type of activity that is often overlooked, but it is very important to your health. I’m not talking about being worried. When I say “mental activity,” I mean being creative and using your mind in creative ways. It doesn’t even have to be “art.” There are many ways to be creative.

You can be a lawyer and figure out creative ways to solve cases and win them. You can be an architect and make things with your mind. You can read books and use your mind to make pictures, connections, and the “movie in your head.” You can do things like crossword puzzles or card and board games that help you solve problems. You can do anything that helps you come up with new ideas, new ways of thinking, and different ways of looking at things. This is activity in the mind.

Art is another great way to keep your mind busy. Creating abstract things also helps people find new ways to think and think in new ways. Your brain and nerves are getting a boost from these new ways of thinking and being. Like the muscles in your body, they get weaker if you don’t use them. So using the mind creatively helps us grow and thrive from the inside.

What is the best way to keep your mind active? Whatever it is that you are going to do. And every day can be different. Just like when you exercise, whatever you do is fine. You can do the same thing every day, or you can change what you do every day. It’s up to you and what you know inside.
The key is to use your mind, thoughts, and ways of thinking to create new things, whether it’s art or how to win a court case.

Physical and mental activity will help you grow, stay healthy, and live your own life.
